The wireless LED spotlight is hosted in a cylindrical case that contains a light source of 16 powerful LEDs with 1.5W output as well as a Lithium Ion battery and a wireless lighting receiver. With a magnet on the backside for easy installation and an included diffuser lens, the Lightdrop is a color-changing lighting unit by itself.
When used inside one of Astera's Decorative Objects such as: balls, sticks, bowls, lanterns, tables, cubes, wave lamps and the skylamp the Lightdrop can create ambient illumination and colorful light effects. In addition, Astera provides mounting accessories, so customers can built their own LED lamps. Unlike other RGB LED spotlights, the Lightdrop has an additional white LED source mounted next to the red, green and blue LEDs. This leads to comfortable LED light colors which look more natural, especially when used for pastel colors. In addition, a RGBW LED spotlight requires less power when displaying light colors. That is why the Astera Lightdrop can run its extra bright LEDs for many hours from just one small Li-Ion battery. The integrated LED light controller can realize Red, Green, Blue and White gradation adjustment, generating 16,770,000 colors.
The other wireless LED products from Astera can be combined with the Lightdrop so they can be controlled together by the wireless LED remote control or a wireless DMX transmitter. The lighting program can be easily edited and the colors chosen and animated by the user. By mixing colors and grouping several wireless LED objects together, the complete LED event decoration can be lit-up for a splendid LED ambient lighting.
Besides the remote control, the rechargeable LED lightdrop can be controlled from any light control device with DMX512 output. It enables up to 300m of free air long distance control and can control up to 170 full color LED-pixels where each Lightdrop represents one pixel.
The wireless operation time for the color changing LED lights and their lighting control is at least 8 hours at normal brightness mode. Because of the rechargeable Li-Ion battery customers don't have to worry about the cost of replacement batteries and the waste caused by empty batteries. The integrated battery pack is powerful enough to ensure an operating time between 8 to 24 hours without recharging. The lifetime of the internal rechargeable battery of these color controllable LED-Lights will be 500 to 1000 recharging cycles.
